Toybox is owned and Managed by Sarah Jacomb, NNEB.

Sarah has worked in the child care sector since 1990 in varying different roles ranging from private nannying to working at Kings College Hospital in London. Sarah initially trained for her NNEB at Toybox when it was based in the grounds of the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead when leaving school after GCSE’s.

On gaining her qualification Sarah worked full time for several years at Toybox before moving on to pastures new. When Toybox was put up for sale in 2004 Sarah jumped at the new challenge and became the proud owner!

The nursery has grown and expanded under Sarah’s watchful eye since then, relocating and is now the nursery you see in Coombe Hill Road.

Sarah is hands on with the nursery and not a ‘silent’ owner. ‘Knowing every parent and child personally makes a huge difference and ensures a ‘family friendly’ feel is continued for the children whilst at nursery'. Sarah also knows exactly what it is like to work out in the nursery with the babies and children through her many years of nursery experience and this knowledge comes in very handy when running a busy child care setting.

Sarah has a team of 22 staff ranging in ages from her 18 year old apprentice just starting out in her child care career through to the more mature ladies! ‘A mixture of ages is an important part of a successful team for both the children and their parents’.
